Peggy Porschen is the Queen of cakes in Belgravia, she has mastered the alchemy of creating truly beautiful cakes, that delight the eyes and indulge the tastebuds. Over the years, Peggy has come to be known far and wide as a designer who never dissapoints. With a keen eye for the beautiful aesthetic, mixing a palate of pristine pastel colours and highly elaborate design techniques, that fashion what could almost be described as edible ornaments. She’s gained some high-profile clients including Sir Elton John, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Kate Moss, amongst others.

Peggy has now launched a floral cake collection (perfect for Spring we say!) each design is worthy of a Rodin sculpture, with the floral designs so realistic you would swear that Peggy had just picked them from her garden. The collection ranges from cascading Peonies and Cherry Blossoms to Lily of the Valley. The designs are thoroughly modern, yet there’s a touch of age old beauty, you could easily imagine Louis XVI ordering one for Marie Antoinette.

It took Peggy many months of research and design to create this botanical extravaganza, and her fastidious attitude has certainly paid off.

Agnes de Sucre Store Opening

If you’ve been wondering around Kensington over the past few weeks, specifically down Holland Street, you might have happened across an eye catching sign, a wreath of brightly painted flowers and macarons, and in the centre a message, saying “The Agnes is coming to Town”. This is the soon to be hub of the Agnes de Sucre empire, founded and run by Reshmi Bennett.

Agnes de Sucre will be opening its doors very soon, with a soft launch, consisting of Reshmi’s tasty macarons, marshmallows, hot chocolate and aromatic Coutume coffee, there’s also chance to win a resplendent box of 18 macarons.

It’s taken Reshmi 18 months of fastidious work, searching for the perfect property, renovation, design etc, now all that hard work has paid off. The store is nestled in the heart of Kensington and all are welcome, from macaron connoisseurs to anyone curious about these sweet French delicacies.

Having trained in French cuisine at the prestigious Ecole Gregoire Ferrandi in Paris, along with working under the tutelage of a Michelin star chef, Reshmi certainly knows her stuff. She ingenuously incorporates traditional French, British and Asian influences into her recipes, interweaving the three to create a magnificent array of tasty treats.

We highly recommend you take a visit and sample some sweet goodies.

Hepburn Collection, Mariam Jensen & Deneemotion collaborate for Your London Wedding Magazine

An extravaganza of classic elegance

Glamour and city chic were the words du jour, when community members Hepburn Collection and Mariam Jenson collaborated on a recent bridal wear shoot.

Styled by the uber talented Bridal Musing and A Little London Wedding, the inspiration came from those classic Vogue editorials, of Parisian style elegance and feminine charm, crowned in a rose tinted haze. In all, the shoot was a confident display of classic luxury.

We caught up with Mariam and Sev from Hepburn to ask a few questions; on the artistic concept Mariam says “The concept was a chic, sexy, London bridal shoot with an editorial edge. The makeup was very chic and elegant, working well with the hair and dresses for the shoot. It’s always a pleasure to work alongside Sev from Hepburn Collection, as we look after many brides and private clients together in addition to our collaboration on various shoots.”

Aesthetics aside, a bridal shoot would be nothing without creative hairstyling, as Sev explains “The shoot from a hair point of view was all about creating glamorous, chic up do’s and au naturel for the hair down…beautiful models; beautiful gowns; beautiful venue…what more can you ask for! Mariam Jensen is the Queen of Airbrushing and having now worked with her on numerous shoots, weddings and events we know that the job will be done with both passion and professionalism. Our job is to work according to what is required and being part of a team with Mariam Jensen on board we know that her talented skills will enhance and compliment any desired look.”

The shoot was executed with fine precision, and community member Deneemotion captured all the magic in a minute long video, that truly clarified the charm and beauty of it all.
