Community Highlight – Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park

At Think Shaadi we are committed to working with the best and most exclusive wedding venues in London.  One of our favourites is the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park.

This breathtaking venue, located in the heart of Knightsbridge with stunning views of the Royal Park, is a spectacular location to host your big day.  It doesn’t matter if your event is royal in scale or more intimate, choosing the Mandarin by Hyde Park is guaranteed to make your wedding special.

In addition to providing a wonderful space to host your event, the Mandarin also has a wide range of services to ease the hectic process of planning a wedding.  For example, each couple who book the Mandarin Oriental are provided with a Wedding Planning Specialist to help with the event.

We would also like to thank one of our photography partners, the spectacular Paul Johnson of Paul Johnson Photography, for providing the photos below.

Happy New Year!

This past year we have been incredibly busy here at Think Shaadi building our platform, bringing on new partners, and growing our community.  It has been a lot of hard work, but more fun than you can possibly imagine.

2014 promises to bring even more excitement for us as we look forward to the launch of our platform, and our first couples plan their dream wedding with us.  It’s very exciting and all happening in 2014.

Vera Wang’s Spring 2016 Bridal Collection

Vera Wangat Brown's

Vera Wang at Brown’s

Vera Wang began a sweeping transformation of the bridal industry in 1990 with the opening of her flagship salon at the Carlyle Hotel in New York City. Even today, the salon showcases bridal collections known for its’ sophisticated drama, feminine detailing and contemporary approach to design. Vera Wang’s renown unique fashion has dressed high-profile clientèle such as Michelle Obama, Emma Watson and Sandra Bullock. Last month brought the bridal haven that is Vera Wang’s Spring 2016 Bridal Collection to Vera Wang at Brown’s just off London’s infamous Bond Street.

The collection caters for the millennial woman who is liberal and wants to feel free. It features soft floral French nets and attention to small floral details. Vera Wang conventionally uses traditional cuts and decided to take a different approach, and execute a collection with delicate flow and gorgeous light fabrics in soft white and cream hues. The show-stopper within the collection for me was the black corset-style bridal gown with black soft feathers that crafts the skirt. Not only does this look elegant and glamorous, but it creates a dramatic look and is certainly one of a kind to walk down the aisle in.

Vera Wang also announced the début of her Spring 2016 Bride Collection via a short film titled ‘Hotel Madrid’, directed by Gordon von Steiner; this is definitely worth watching.

If you want to look seductive through sophistication on your wedding day, then Vera Wang is your ultimate answer. See my favourite selection of bridal dresses from their collection below.
